A plaster cast of chart-topping singer Katy Perry's breasts has been sold for charity.

The plaster bust was made back in August 2008 to raise money for Keep-a-Breast, an organization that produces art events that increase breast cancer awareness among young people and benefit breast cancer education, prevention and treatment programs in communities around the world. They are famous for creating plaster forms of the female torso, which are then customized by fine artists and auctioned to raise funding for breast cancer.

“Someone paid US$3500 for a mould of my breasts,” said the 24-year-old singer. “That’s a lot in a recession.”

Last month, Perry donated handwritten song lyrics to Jewel's auction to raise money for Project Clean Water.
