Music’s hottest artists will take the stage at New York City’s Carnegie Hall on Monday, Dec. 2 at 9 p.m. for the inaugural Live 4 The Give Holiday Benefit Concert to raise money for family-focused nonprofit organizations.

Fans will have the chance to attend using a unique mobile voting and pledging charitable giving initiative.

Stars for a Cause

Award-winning recording artist NE-YO will take the stage, with special guest appearances by Jennifer Hudson AND Sheryl Crow, and make musical history through a first-of-its-kind fundraising event, powered by social media, to support disadvantaged youth and families in need during the holiday giving season. Funds raised through Live 4 The Give will benefit three nonprofits supporting disadvantaged youth and families in need: Youth, I.N.C., The Compound Foundation, and Win, as well as Carnegie Hall, a non-profit that serves a wide range of people in need through its Musical Connections program.

“The nonprofits benefitting from Live 4 The Give do amazing work for underprivileged families and children, and I am honored to be part of an event that makes selfless acts the No. 1 priority,” said Grammy Award–winning singer and songwriter NE-YO. “Paying it forward and giving back is important to me as my foundation, The Compound Foundation, works to enhance the well-being of youth growing up in foster care and group homes. Our goal is to support bright futures for young people by helping them forge healthy relationships and pursuing their dreams. With this concert, Live 4 The Give brings all of us together to be part of a groundbreaking campaign.”

Digital Donating

Fans will have the chance to attend the show through Live 4 The Give’s unique digital giving campaign. Beginning this month, by texting “L4TG” to 41444, fans have the chance to win tickets to the concert along with an exclusive Live 4 the Give digital “Gift Bag”:

• For a pledge of $20, fans will have the chance to win two (2) Preferred Seats, two (2) L4TG song downloads from current artists and an official digitally signed event photo.
• A pledge of $30 will offer fans the chance of winning two (2) Premium Seats, as well as the song downloads from current artists and an official digitally signed event photo.
• Donations of $40 will have the chance to win two (2) VIP Seats at the concert, as well as song downloads from current artists and an official digitally signed event photo.

“Some of music’s finest artists are giving fans a once-in-a-lifetime experience through a unique social giving model that will generate much-needed funding for our community at the height of the season of giving,” said Jamie Rose, architect, Live 4 The Give, and creative director, Mission BIG.

To bring the mobile campaign to life, Live 4 The Give is partnering with a new donation-based crowdfunding platform, Mission Markets, and some of mobile’s heavy hitters, including MobileCause, FaveIt, and Bedloo. Using Bedloo’s robust voting platform, Mission Big will launch a first-ever social media voting driven charitable initiative that offers the chance to win tickets to VIP experiences at Live 4 The Give, including special downloads and other exclusive entitlements. Rounding out the mobile-based pledging and audience engagement offerings, Mission Markets, which operates a portal network for impact and sustainability investments, will host on Mission Crowdfund, a Live 4 The Give donation campaign to help raise critical funds and awareness for children and families. In addition to providing the platform for the text campaign, MobileCause, the premier mobile fundraising and donor engagement platform, will use SMS to keep up with donors after the event. For every mobile pledge donation, Live 4 The Give is offering an exclusive free song download through FaveIt, a new app that allows users to save, share and remember their favorite places and things.

“As a mother, I am personally drawn to initiatives that positively impact the health and well-being of children and families in need, which is why I feel privileged to be working with Live 4 The Give,” said Grammy-Award winning singer and songwriter Sheryl Crow. “I am encouraging my fans to text to pledge and take advantage of this unique opportunity to help make a difference during the giving season.”

Giving Back Together

Events giant Mission BIG — best known for producing last year’s Benefit for United Way of New York City charity concert featuring Jay-Z, Alicia Keys and Nas — will present this concert at Carnegie Hall. The event is also supported by Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, the leading media company in America with a greater reach in the U.S. than any other radio or television outlet. Clear Channel’s family of five New York radio stations [Q104.3, Z100, 103.5 KTU, Power 105.1 and Lite FM] will air a series of in-kind radio PSAs supporting Live 4 The Give which coincides with #GivingTuesday (Dec. 3), an international day for charitable giving following Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

“Live 4 The Give can make a huge impact on the lives of New York City’s less fortunate,” said Grammy Award-winning artist and Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson, who will be making a guest appearance at the concert. “We’re thankful to all our fans around the world for coming together to help those who need it most this holiday season.”
