On Saturday, May 21, 2016, Keep Memory Alive will host its extravagant 20th annual Power of Love gala at Las Vegas Arena honoring Tony Bennett with a spectacular 90th birthday celebration.

True to its now-legendary style, the Power of Love gala will feature one-of-a-kind performances, exciting live auctions, remarkable wine and cocktails and exquisite cuisine by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck. Now in its 20th year, the gala continues to raise funds in support of Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.

Tony Bennett, who recently visited Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health commented, “During my tour of the Center, I saw first-hand the incredible care provided and ground-breaking initiatives in place, and I am honored to know that all proceeds from this 90th birthday event will benefit Keep Memory Alive and Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.”

Tony Bennett, legendary performer and 18-time Grammy winner, has thrilled sold-out audiences worldwide for more than 70 years, selling ten million records in the last ten years alone. Known for timeless hits including “The Way You Look Tonight,” “It Don’t Mean a Thing If You Ain’t Got That Swing,” and more, Bennett has released more than 70 albums, charting 30 singles, and is a recipient of 18 Grammy Awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award.

“We are incredibly excited and humbled to honor Tony Bennett with a magnificent birthday celebration at this year’s Power of Love gala,” said Larry Ruvo, founder and chairman of Keep Memory Alive. “We want all soon-to-be 90 year-olds to have the same vivacious spirit as Tony, which is the reason why we have this event every year: to support the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health’s continued efforts toward enhanced treatments and research of horrendous brain diseases.”

Previous Power of Love galas have celebrated the 70th birthday of boxing legend Muhammad Ali in 2012 and the 80th birthday celebration for Quincy Jones and Sir Michael Caine in 2013. Last year’s gala hosted some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry including Celine Dion, Martina McBride, Robin Thicke and more as they honored Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli and his wife Veronica. Generating the bulk of Keep Memory Alive’s revenue, the annual gala is imperative to the success of Keep Memory Alive and the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in the mission to enhance treatments and research of brain diseases.
