With Leto’s Oscar win, Page’s inspiring “coming out” story, and their smash box office hits, Jared Leto and Elliot Page have had a big year—and now they both have an additional accomplishment to add to 2014: They’ve been named the winners of PETA's annual Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity contest.

The X-Men star triumphed over Ariana Grande, Jessica Paré, Laura Prepon and Sarah Silverman, among others, while the 30 Seconds To Mars singer snagged the title over such competition as Joaquin Phoenix, Samuel L. Jackson, Peter Dinklage and Woody Harrelson.

When British GQ asked Jared Leto the question on everyone’s mind — how he looks 31 at 41 — he said, “I’m pretty healthy so I think that helps a lot. I’ve been that way for a long time — 20 solid years of eating vegetarian/vegan and taking care of myself. That probably helps the preservation process.” Another reason why Leto’s vegan? “I don’t eat dairy because it’s disgusting,” he says. “In milk, there’s actually quite a bit of cow pus. There [were] a couple of films that I watched about the food industry that really just, I was like, no, I can’t do it anymore.”

And Page shares Leto’s concerns over the cruelty of the meat, dairy, and egg industries. “Why are vegans made fun of while the inhumane factory farming process regards animals and the natural world merely as commodities to be exploited for profit?” she asked in a tweet.

Previous winners of PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity contest include Kristen Bell, Woody Harrelson, Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Russell Brand, Olivia Wilde, Carrie Underwood, Prince, Natalie Portman, Shania Twain, Leona Lewis, Andre 3000, Tobey Maguire and Alicia Silverstone.
