Summary
Founded in 1993 by Sarah, Duchess of York, Children In Crisis provides educational opportunities to children in some of the world’s poorest countries, which is essential for them to overcome poverty.
In celebrating its 15th Anniversaryin 2008, it launched a four year campaign to raise £10 million to enable a further 250,000 children in post conflict countries to go to school.
The goal is to build 24 new schools, set up teacher training programmes and provide HIV and AIDS education in schools Liberia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Afghanistan and Sierra Leone.
