Last week’s amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala at Cannes has raised $6.7 million for charity.

Hosted by Alan Cumming and headlined by Mary J. Blige, the event attracted stars such as Russell Crowe, Chris Tucker, Jennifer Lopez, Patti Smith, Naomi Watts, Paris Hilton, Giorgio Armani, Naomi Campbell, Mick Jagger, Karl Lagerfeld and many more.

Ten luxury items went under the auctioneer’s hammer at the dinner event, with the opportunity to spend a day with Bill Clinton raising the most money – $220,000. A flight on a fighter jet raised $170,000.

Last year’s gala raised $4.5 million, while the 2008 gala made $10 million.
