Charity biography
Band members Gary Lightbody and Jonny Quinn visited Northern Uganda in late 2007 as part of a trip organized by Save The Children and Oxfam.
The pair traveled to hospitals and schools supported by Save The Children’s Rewrite The Future Campaign, an initiative designed to provide education for children in conflict-affected regions.
“Uganda is an incredible country,” said Quinn, drummer for the rock group. “We have seen firsthand the work being done to support children and families living in extreme poverty.”

Various Artists: The Cake Sale
A new CD featuring a collective of musicians and writers, including Crowded House founding member Nick Seymore, who have combined to create a 9 song CD of previously unreleased recordings. Profits from the album, which also features Nina Persson from The Cardigans, Damien Rice, and Snow Patrol, will go to Oxfam’s Make Trade Fair campaign, as well as to their overseas program work.
