Liza Minnelli is a legendary singer and actress who has won three Tonys, an Oscar, a Grammy, two Golden Globes and an Emmy.

She served on the board of directors of The Institutes for The Achievement of Human Potential (IAHP) for 20 years, a nonprofit educational organization that introduces parents to the field of child brain development.

She supports amfAR, telling Palm Springs Life magazine: “AmfAR is important to me because I’ve lost so many friends that I knew [to AIDS]”.

In 1994, Minnelli recorded “The Day After That” and donated the proceeds to AIDS research.
