Thornton has made a PSA for the Damon and Stella Foundation.

Billy Bob signed a guitar for an Austin GuitarTown auction benefitting four local charities.

Along with Tim McGraw and Friday Night Lights director Peter Berg, he stages a fundraising concert to benefit the Gridiron Heroes, an organization dedicated to helping school football players who have suffered serious spinal cord injuries while playing the game.

Thornton decorated a baseball base for an auction raising funds for RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities).
