América Latina en Acción Solidaria (Latin America in Solidarity Action) is made up of a group of Latino artists who are confronting the social emergency facing millions of children in Latin America and the Caribbean. ALAS was founded as a nonprofit organization in Panamá, where its administrative headquarters are still located today.
The organization’s focus is on early childhood and pregnancy.
Shakira is a founding member of the Foundation.
