Elisabetta Canalis is an Italian model and actress.

She has posed nude for PETA's anti-fur campaign: “I decided to go nude because I think that nudity always creates a big reaction”, she explains. "That is what is required to keep people’s attention on such a brutal practice … These poor animals are electrocuted, skinned alive, drowned and bludgeoned just for the sake of fashion.

“Don’t buy fur. Even a little trim – your gloves or your bag or your jackets …. You must remember that animals don’t have a voice. You must be their voice. Never be afraid to speak up.”

She also supports the Julien Collot Foundation. This non-profit organization was created in 2007 to support the Bone Marrow Transplant Research Team at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. It was created in honor of 8-year-old Julien Collot, who suffered from a rare form of Leukemia and passed away at the beginning of this year after having fought the disease for most of his life.
