Ronan Keating's Charity Work

Ronan Keating

Charity biography

Keating has completed two sponsored walks across Ireland to bring attention to the Marie Keating Foundation, the charity his family set up after his mother died of breast cancer.

Ronan launched the first mobile unit in the UK to target the general public with cancer prevention information highlighting how to reduce your cancer risk. The units are based on the ones used by the Marie Keating Foundation in Ireland.

Keating performed at Live 8.

In June 2004, Ronan made a trip to Ghana as a Fair Trade ambassador for Christian Aid. Ronan spent a week visiting farmers and families across central Ghana to see first hand how unfair trade laws are destroying livelihoods.

Keating is a UN Goodwill Ambassador via the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO).
